PRX-T33: The Best “Peel” We’ve Ever Seen (Updated April 2022)

We’re introducing a new chemical peel called PRX-T33. It’s not the greatest name, but it is one of the most innovative treatments I have seen in my 20+ years of doing skincare.

This little miracle is a peel that barely peels, if at all. PRX-T33 has all the normal chemical peel benefits like brightening and smoothing, but it also tightens the skin. I mean, really tightens the skin.

Check out these before and afters. Look at that tightening!

This treatment is formulated with 33% TCA acid, which produces visible change but normally causes significant peeling.

To understand how it works, we need a little biology lesson.

Allow me to nerd out for a minute.

PRX-T33Our skin has three layers – epidermis, dermis, and the subcutaneous. Inside the dermis are things called fibroblasts and this is where the laxity or tightness of the skin comes from. If you want to make real change in the skin, you need to stimulate the fibroblasts.

You may have heard about collagen and elastin. These are proteins in the skin that we have a lot of as we’re young and become less effective and less present in the skin as we get older. Hence, as we get older we get wrinkles and saggier skin. Collagen is (the plumping protein) and elastin (the elastin protein) reside in the dermis area of the skin, and together with fibroblasts, the connective element of tissue, work to keep skin tight. PRX-T33 works by stimulating the fibroblasts to stimulate the production of more collagen and elastin, resulting in tighter skin.

Whew! Sorry, but I love skincare. Basically, just know that PRX-T33 helps your body make more collagen and elastin so you get tighter skin.

Why I Love This

PRX-T33 is the coolest because it is formulated to go straight into the dermis, bypassing the top layers of dead skin, which will get even better results without all of the downtime like sun sensitivity and peeling.

The treatment itself has little to no discomfort, with a smidge of stinging here and there for the rest of the day. Right after the peel, your skin will be a little pink, then there is a visible post-treatment glow (we call it the PRX glow). There is no downtime. Seriously. Sunscreen and makeup can be applied right after the peel.

To get the best results, a series of PRX-T33 treatment is required, so plan on once a week for four weeks. At the end of your series you should see significant tightening with a long lasting glow. We’re recommending a touch up treatment once every 3 to 6 months.

So let’s sum this up.

  • Little to no pain
  • Little to no peeling
  • No downtime
  • Lots of tightening of the skin
  • Wear makeup same day
  • No need to stay out of the sun

It’s almost too good to be true, and when I first heard about it, I didn’t believe it. It’s a new treatment for Radiance but it’s been around in Italy for years and is starting to make its way here.

PRX-T33 is great for:

  • Laxity (a fancy word for less than tight, wrinkle free skin)
  • Helps even excess pigmentation
  • Improving the look and texture of acne scar and stretch marks

It’s For More Than Just Faces

I also really like that PRX can be used to treat different areas of the body, including:

  • Back
  • Chest
  • Arms
  • Hands
  • Legs

Like I said, this stuff is amazing.

Post-Care = The Difference Maker

What I also love about this stuff is the post-care available. I know some people just want to come in, have the treatment, then be done. But really, the post-care for PRX-T33 is what can make the results even better and last longer. The post-care has two parts:

  • WIQo Smoothing Face Fluid which has glycolic acid to help with exfoliating.
  • WiQo Moisturizing Face Cream for Dry Skin helps keep peeling to a minimum.
